Wind Module maintenance
The Wind Module needs very little maintenance — it has no moving parts. This article covers the optional upkeep that keeps it reading accurately.
What to know
Maintenance is minimal. The following is optional but can help prevent measurement issues:
- Dust removal — gently wipe accumulated dust with a soft cloth. Don't use cleaning solutions, and be careful not to scratch the surface.
- Ice or snow removal — let it melt naturally. Don't use tools to force it off, as that could damage the unit.
- Debris removal — if debris collects under the Wind Module's roof, between the four ultrasonic transducer knobs, it can affect wind measurements. Gently remove it to restore correct operation.
