What is the time zone of my measurements?
Clarity devices upload data from all around the world, so it helps to know which time zone your measurements are in. The short answer: data is stored in UTC, and displayed in your local time.
Data stored and exported in UTC
We use UTC (Coordinated Universal Time) to sync all data in our databases. Your data is in UTC in:
- Clarity Dashboard CSV file downloads.
- The Clarity API.
Data displayed in your local time
When data is displayed on OpenMap or the Clarity Dashboard, it uses the local time of your computer.
What's next
- Understand how individual and aggregated measurements are timestamped.
- Interpret your downloaded report.
