How do I interpret my Reports?
Once you've downloaded a report, the column headers can look cryptic at first. This article explains how to read the labels, attributes, QC columns, and time zone so your data makes sense.
So you know: Need to create a report first? See downloading your measurements with Reports.
Labels
Labels determine how each metric is named in the column headers of your CSV. The full description of each label lives in Clarity's Metrics Dictionary, split by output frequency:
- For Hour output frequency, see the Hour Aggregations dictionary.
- For Minute output frequency, see the Individual Samples dictionary.
- For Day output frequency, see the Day Aggregations dictionary.
Attribute details
Every metric column header ends with an attribute: .raw, .value, or .status. Each is described in the Metrics Dictionary.
Headers ending in .status contain status details for cloud-calibrated metrics — PM2.5 and NO₂ are examples. The full list of statuses and their meanings is in the Metrics Dictionary.
QC Assessment and QC flags
If you chose to include QC columns when generating the report:
- QC Assessment columns end in
.qcAssessment. Each cell showsvalid, invalid, or stays empty if the device doesn't record that metric. - QC flags columns end in
.qcFlag. For what each flag means, see Automated data quality control (QC).
Time zone
The Start and End periods in your report are in UTC (Coordinated Universal Time).
