Dust Module maintenance
The Dust Module needs very little maintenance, it has no moving parts. This article covers the optional upkeep that keeps it reading accurately.
What to know
Devices occasionally need attention — to spot which ones, review the device status details page.
Maintenance is minimal. The following is optional but can help prevent measurement issues:
- Dust removal: gently wipe accumulated dust with a soft cloth. Don't use cleaning solutions, and be careful not to scratch the surface.
- Ice or snow removal: let it melt naturally. Don't use tools to force it off, as that could damage the unit.
These simple practices keep the Dust Module operating effectively while protecting its precision components.
